Dear Parishioners of OLOP:
One of our high school children produced a PSA (Public Service Announcement) video back in December. It made it through three hurdles and is now one of the national finalists.
Background information: KinderVision, the organization that is providing this contest, is sponsored by Major League Baseball. They would like as many people to see the videos in the national finals to bring awareness to the issues some of our teens face today. This is why the last hurdle requires voting.
The video with the most votes wins national recognition and recognition by Major League Baseball. The school that wins receives a monetary gift to buy equipment for their film program.
The messages these children put forth are messages that affect so many children and young adults aournd the world. If you would like to support Keira’s effeorts and vote, please follow the instructions and link below.
Keira’s video is #5 called “Be Vigilant”. The first and second choice can not be the same; otherwise, it will not be counted. Voting closes on April 28 at midnight.
Please vote for Junior GDVC student Keira McLaughlin and her PSA titled "Be Vigilant" for the National PSA of the Year!
