Dear Parishioners of OLOP:
I received this email from Bishop Gregory today and have been asked to send this to all of you. I hope many, if not all of you, will be able to celebrate the prayer of Consecration on May 1. Details are stated below and the prayer is attached to this email. May our Mother Mary carry our prayers to our Lord to end this pandemic.
In Christ,

Reverend and dear Monsignors and Fathers, Deacons and Subdeacons, Brothers and Sisters;
On Friday, May 1, at 3:00 pm (Eastern Time), the Catholic Bishops of the United States and Canada will be consecrating our respective nations to the care of the Blessed Mother under the title of Mary, Mother of the Church. Bishop Gregory has asked that, if at all possible, all of our parishes, missions, and institutions take part in this Consecration.
Archbishop José Gomez of Los Angeles, the President of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, will lead the prayer of Consecration which will be available on various social media sites including:
https://www.facebook.com/usccb
https://twitter.com/USCCB
https://instagram.com/usccb/
This document Prayer of Consecration 5.1.20 is the prayer service that will be used.
Kindly forward this information to everyone in your parish that they may pray along with Archbishop Gomez, that through the prayers of Our Lady, her son may grant us healing and strength during this pandemic.
Should any of you wish to make this Consecration at the parish level, the actual payer of Consecration can be found on pages 3-5 of the aforementioned attachment.
With prayerful best wishes for good health and Divine graces, I remain
Sincerely yours in Christ,
Chorbishop Michael G. Thomas, JCD
Vicar General and Chancellor
