Dear Parents of CCD Children of OLOP:
I hope this message finds you and your families doing well. In an effort to socially distance and protect ourselves and our families we have had to temporarily give up a number of opportunities to gather in person as a community of faith. I have missed seeing you, and have missed the joy and laughter of the children. I’d like to invite you and your children to join me on Saturday, May 2, 2020 at 10:30 am, via Live Stream on Zoom for “Saturday Brunch with Fr. Vince”. We’ve developed a program of songs, arts & crafts, conversation, and prayer that we think the children, and you, will enjoy. Our tentative schedule includes:
1. Vikki Thomas will teach the children a fun song (including the hand gestures);
2. Rose Dupre and Sarah Thomas Hitchings will lead the children through a special May arts and craft project;
3. I’ll take a little time to have a conversation with the children; and
4. We’ll end with a decade of the Rosary and a Marian Song.
Our brunch program should last about an hour and will give the children an opportunity to see each other and enjoy each other’s company (virtually).
Please let me know if you and your family are available to join us by Friday, May 1. I’ll be sending an invite with the login information next week. We’ll also be forwarding a PDF for you to print out for the arts and crafts project.
Please pass this along to members of your family or other parishioners with children between the ages of 5 and 12.
